A summary for the appointment of chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) has been sent to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The summary included names of Pakistan Navy’s Asif Sandila, Pakistan Army’s Haroon Aslam and Pakistan Air Force’s Tahir Rafique, says media reports.
Sources added that the slot was given to the officials of all three forces on their turn; however, the Pakistan Army retained this post since 1997.
Nawaz will take decision on October 6, sources said.
Meanwhile, Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed refused to comment on the issue.
