About 419 members of national and provincial assemblies, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Pervez Khatak, have not submitted the details of the their assets despite the deadline set by the Election Commission has come to an end.
According to facts and figures, the Election Commission received the details of assets owned by only 748 members out of 1167 while 419 members including KP chief minister Pervez Khatak, PPP leader Amin Fahim, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Javed Hashmi, Aftab Shairpao have not submitted the details of their assets to the Election Commission.
The defaulters include 27 senators, 95 Members National Assembly, 123 from Punjab Assembly, 68 from Sindh Assembly, 27 from Balochistan and 85 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Election Commission of Pakistan had set September 30 as deadline for submission of assets’ details but the afore-mentioned politicians have taken any pain in this regard.
According to rules and regulations, the membership of defaulter members would be cancelled on October 15.
