Three militants were shot down in North Waziristan during a US drone strike targeting a military compound. A senior security official confirmed the death of three insurgents as a result of the strike. Recent reports show that the identities of the deceased remain unknown.
The attack took place in Boya, North Waziristan.
This is the second drone strike conducted by the US in the past 24 hours. At least three other militants were killed in Sunday’s drone attack on the Dargmandi in North Waziristan.
Boya is belived to be a stronghold of the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group and other Taliban linked miltants. Bahadur, a local warlord, is allied with the Afghan Taliban fighting US-led troops across the border.
