Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday repeated his assertion that if political parties are serious for dialogue with the Talban, the militant outfit be allowed to open its office in Pakistan.
He warned that people like Raymond Davis could sabotage the dialogue process through acts of terrorism.
Talking to media here at a function at a private school, the PTI chief said that the country has seen five years of war and now dialogue should be given a chance. He said dialogue with the Taliban failed in the past due to drone attacks. He said that drone attacks have made 30 groups of Taliban.
Imran said that peace could be promoted in the county either through war or dialogue and there was no third solution. He was of the view that if there was no office of Taliban, how the process of dialogue would proceed?
He said there are thousands of people like Raymond Davis in Pakistan who can sabotage the talks through just one blast. He said it was duty of the federal government to open dialogue with Taliban, and if the talks fail, there is an option for war which would spread further destruction.
He said after the opening of Taliban office, there should be given an opportunity of ceasefire and if any one violates that then an intense action should be initiated.
He said that his life and death are for Pakistan and he does not keep his assets in foreign countries like other politicians.
He said that due to the conditions imposed by the IMF, Pakistani currency is getting devalued and inflation is prevailing in the country.

  1. once taliban forces and pakistani leaders sit to negociate peace it will help isolate the militant taliban from the the reactionary ones. ceasefire can help tremendously in doing so. the sooner this happens the better, for people who are being destroyed need solace.i wonder why it is taking the federal government to implement the resolution so amicably agreed upon in the recent apc summit? afterall this is a national issue. perhaps it is busy having breakfast with it's Indian friends!
