Over 100 suspects rounded up in Karachi; arms and drugs recovered

The police, during separate targeted operation in different areas of the city, rounded up more than 100 suspects, recovering arms and drugs from their possession on Friday.

According to details, the city police conducted a search operation in Peerabad, arresting 80 suspected people and recovering arms from their possession.

Police sources said that operation was conducted in the infamous Haqqani Mohalla based on a tip-off regarding the presence of suspected people in the area.

Meantime, the police carried out a search operation in the city areas of Baloch Colony and Clifton. Nine suspected people have been arrested from the city area of Defence View. A TT pistol and drugs were recovered from one of the miscreants.

More than two dozen troublemakers were taken into custody following a police encounter in Kaneez Fatima Society of Surjani Town and other areas.

SP Chaudhry Asad said that firearms and drugs were also recovered from the arrested persons.
