The Supreme Court issued a notice to Jamil Akbar Bugti directing him to appear in the court to express his stance regarding the case.
The two-member bench of Supreme Court headed by Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk conducted the hearing of the petition filed for the interim bail of the former military general Pervez Musharraf. Justice Nasir remarked that the court will not give Musharraf any special treatment thus he is required to appear in court.
The former president’s lawyer, Ibrahim Sati argued that courts have granted bail to his client on merit; there is no proper evidence against Musharraf in the Bugti murder case, so he should be granted bail accordingly.
On the other hand, Additional Prosecutor Balochistan said that the case has many legal and constitutional complications; so the petitioner of the case, Jamil Bugti, should be issued a notice.
While keeping in view the officer’s request, the court issued notice to Jamil Bugti, the petitioner, to state his stance before the court in accordance with rules and regulations.
The next hearing of the case will be conducted after two weeks
