ECP asks lawmakers for Annual Asset details by Sept 30

The Election Commission Pakistan (ECP) has once again asked the Members of the Parliament and Provincial Assemblies to submit their own yearly Statements of Assets and Liabilities as well as those of their spouses and dependents by 30th of this month.

This is a mandatory requirement under Section 42-A of the Representation of the People Act, 1976 and Section 25-A of the Senate (Elections) Act, 1975.

  1. The date like in the past will be extended…..and these politicians are supposed to be our role model. When these lawmakers do not follow rules themselves, how same is expected from the common people ? when are we going to improve our image locally and within the comity of nations….let us stop blaming dictatorship for such action on part of our lawmakers and politicians. It has nothing to do what our politicians may claim to be dictatorial period, hence need time to mature…come on ! grow up….following rules and discipline comes from home not school….taleem from school tarbiyat from home.
