A bill seeking ban on unnecessary spending at wedding ceremonies was tabled in the Sindh Assembly on Tuesday.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Sharmila Farooqui presented the bill.
The bill seeks a ban on decorating streets and roads during a wedding ceremony and only allows the wedding house to be decorated.
In her bill, Ms Farooqui also proposed banning aerial firing, cracker blasts and display of fireworks.
