A four-member committee to probe yesterday’s twin suicide bombings at a church in Peshawar has been constituted.

All 81 people killed in this tragic incident have been laid to rest, while the 145 injured are receiving treatment in hospitals.

According to the report, the bombers could be young men in their early twenties (20-25), however eyewitness accounts differ substantially from what the report says.

An initial investigative report into the Peshawar twin suicide bombings revealed that city’s security officials had already been warned about a possible attack.

Peshawar city SP, Ismail Kharak said that besides constitution of a four-member probe committee, a new security plan for the protection of minorities has been prepared. This includes measures like deployment of additional police armed with latest weaponry at the churches, temples, other holy places, and burial/cremation grounds.
