An initial report prepared by a committee probing the Peshawar tragedy on Monday suggested that one of the suicide bombers was a female.

According to the report, the bombers could have been young men in their early twenties (20-25), however, eyewitness accounts differ substantially from what the report says.

Some of the people, who were witness to the attack, told investigators that the attackers were wearing police uniforms, while others said they were Burqa-clad.

A four-member committee was constituted on Monday to investigate Sunday’s bombing in a church in Peshawar that claimed over 80 lives and left nearly 150 injured.

Officials said the committee, headed by an SSP Investigation, visited the blast site and recorded statements, besides reviewing evidence collected from the site.

Officials said head of the suicide bomber would be sent to Lahore for the DNA test.

Officials said at least 16 kilogrammes of explosives were used in the blasts.

A pair of suicide bombers blew themselves up outside a 130-year-old Anglican church –All Saints Church – after the Sunday Mass. There were around five to six hundred people inside the Church at the time of the attack.
