Lahore Development Authority (LDA) will hold open auction of 50 commercial plots today at 10:00 am at LDA Community Centre, New Muslim Town.
The plots are situated on prime locations of Johar Town and Sabazazar Housing Schemes.
Meanwhile, representatives of national and multi-national banks visited the site reserved for establishing a new bank square in the city on Monday, on the invitation of LDA.
The bankers were briefed on-the-spot about the location, area, terms and conditions of auction as well as mode of payment and other details of the new bank square to be set up at the Finance and Trade Centre, Johar Town, spreading over an area of 1,123 kanals.
Two out of the total four plots, measuring from 10 to 30 kanals have been earmarked on a chunk of 69 kanals of land in the Finance and Trade Centre for this purpose.
LDA will also hold open auction of these four plots, reserved for setting up head offices as well as regional offices of banks and financial institutions in the new bank square.
OFFICES, WORKSHOPS SEALED: During a joint operation against violations of building bylaws, Town Planning Wing staff and LDA Commercialisation sealed 36 illegal workshops and offices adjacent to Block F2 and Block M of Johar Town due to illegal commercial use.
