The Lahore High Court (LHC) Complaint Cell on Saturday took notice of a woman who was set ablaze by her in-laws.
The complaint cell has directed the district courts and sessions judge Rahim Yar Khan to probe into the matter and to submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the police along with his own comments within a week.
The cell took notice of the news item published in a section of the press which said that the victim disputed with her husband and her in-laws on daily basis. The in-laws, fed up with the daily scuffles threw kerosene oil on the woman and set the her ablaze. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
Police registered a case and arrested two brother-in-laws of the victim while her father-in-law and sister-in-law were still at large.
