In two different incidents, newly born baby girls were thrown away by their parents. The first incident took place near Reevaz Garden in Lahore. The baby was found wrapped inside a plastic bag making it difficult for her to breathe. The baby was immediately shifted to Mayo Hospital’s emergency department for medical treatment. Doctors say that she has been suffering from a severe breathing problem after being wrapped in a bag for quite a while. The second incident was reported at Nishtar Colony where a similar case was found by the rescue workers. The baby was also shifted to the hospital for the medical treatment. The experts said that either the babies were unwanted or they were thrown away only for being girls. Poverty could be another possible reason for these kinds of heartless incidents.
