Dispensers employed in medical colleges and allied hospitals have been promoted to Basic Pay Scale (BPS-9). However, government colleges’ dispensers were omitted in the notification issued by health department and have therefore not been promoted. They are now demanding promotion.
These dispensers have tried to draw the attention of the government towards this injustice being done to them on several occasions, but all their efforts have proved fruitless. Many dispensers have resigned from service due to lack of promotion to the next scale.
