With the 2014 elections coming up, BJP’s official PM candidate Narendra Modi is perhaps one of the most net savvy politicians of India. The Gujarat Chief Minister has turned to Bollywood via micro blogging site Twitter to help him encourage the youth to vote. NaMo as he is nicknamed, turned to Bollywood celebrities Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan ( to name a few) on Twitter and requested their help in encouraging the youth of India to vote! He was quoted saying, “let’s encourage voter registration among 18-24 yr olds. Large number of them unregistered. EC drive presently underway”. Will Bollywood respond to Narendra Modi’s request?
