The Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA), following health and safety precautions, has initiated the supply of water through a chlorinated system from 20 tube wells.
Details said that the standard of the remaining 300 tube wells will be also upgraded in phases, while Research Officer for Quality has been given the task of ensuring supply of clean water in the city.
Managing Director (MD) WASA, Raja Shaukat Mehmood said, Research Officer for Quality took water samples from different tube wells working under the chlorinated system and tested them at the laboratory.
Tube Wells which have been declared safe as per health and safety rules are of the areas Muslim town, Mohammad colony, Ojari camp, Khurram colony, Ali abad, Dhok Najo, TMA office, Khayban-e-Sir Syed and Ariya Mohalla.
MD WASA said, samples of all tube wells will be sent for a laboratory test
