PTI activist assassinated in Peshawar

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist was killed and four others injured on Friday in an attack on Jalozai refugee camp office on the outskirts of Peshawar.

Mullah Khel, an active PTI member and tribal elder from Khyber Agency was present at the office in the office at Jalozai along with some other men from Bara when armed motorcyclists opened fire on them, killing Mullah Khel on the spot.

The injured were taken to hospital and their condition is stable.

Khel, who played an important role in the establishment of a peace lashkar against Taliban, is the first PTI member to become a victim of terrorism since the PTI government came to power in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

TERRORIST KILLED:

An alleged terrorist was killed when his own explosive went off near a mosque, moments before the Friday prayer at village Ponyal in Shangla district.

According to sources, the man, identified as Afzal, was wanted for conducting terrorist and criminal activities.

According to eyewitnesses, the terrorist was on his way to the mosque for targeting the prayer congregation when the bomb exploded.

Meanwhile, three people were killed and 20 injured in an attack on a mosque in village Acheeni on Friday.

The police conducted a search operation in the area and netted out 30 suspects. A large quantity of weapons was recovered from their possession.
