An activist of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi, Saleem Nabi, was shot dead in the Malir area late on Wednesday night.

He was travelling in his car with his wife, son and driver when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire. Saleem, 45, was on his way to meet his mother when the incident occurred.

He was shot multiple times and died on the spot while his driver, Wajid, was also wounded in the attack.

The deceased had served in the labour division of the party.

The party chief Afaq Ahmed condemned the incident and demanded that government and law enforcement agencies arrest those responsible for the attack.

Four years ago, Saleem’s brother Fahim Commando was also killed in the same area.
