A female student was killed in a road accident near Khanna Pul at Fizia colony stop in Islamabad on Thursday.
The girl namely Maryam Ghulam, daughter of Arif Khokhar, was a first year student at Margalla college F-7/2 Islamabad. She was going back to her home from college when s speedy vehicle collided with her as she was crossing the road and she died on the spot.
The residents of the area held protest demonstrations and claimed that such incidents occur on daily basis due to the non-provision of speed breakers on roads.
They further claimed that several people have lost their dear ones due to this very reason while the concerned authorities watching whole scenario with closed eyes.
