First ever recognition for Pakistani official

Secretary Defence Lt Gen (r) Asif Yasin Malik has been conferred upon with the honour of induction in a formal ceremony at the National Defense University, Fort McNair, Washington DC, Hall of Fame, this being the first ever recognition for any Pakistani government official.

The ‘Hall of Fame’ is a prestigious and visible means of honoring NDU graduate who have attained, through merit, the highest position in their country’s armed forces or government.

According to an official statement issued here, Senior Director NDU, John Carlton said that NDU was proud of the achievements of Lt Gen (r) Asif Yasin Malik since his graduation from NDU-USA from June 2002 till July 2003 and was delighted to see him return to the campus.

Asif Yasin Malik, a graduate of the Pakistan Army Command and Staff College and holding a Master’s degree from National Defense University, Islamabad, graduated as an International Fellow at National Defense University Washington DC and earned Master’s degree in Strategic Resource Management in the year 2003. He was the class president of the International Fellows during the fellowship.

Secretary Defence remarked: “I am honored to be inducted in the NDU International Fellows Hall of Fame”. He also expressed his thanks to the NDU for providing a Pakistani the opportunity to be inducted on the prestigious platform.

  1. Terrorists epicenter is in pakistan supported by army and ISI with food shelter and fund. They are well trained in madrassas of pakistan by retired armies person and JuD terrrorist Mohd Hafeez Saeed. He is termed to be the beast & baffoon of the pakistan terrorism. He should be handed over to the Indian government to face the criminal charges and involvement in 26/11. Why Mr. PM of pakistan is supporting these type of terrorists in pakistan. These terrorist are involved with ISI and army and infiltrated them in LoC at the border of jammu & kashmir., The J & K is the integral part of our Inida.
