Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration has sealed an alleged fake ghee factory and seized 83 cartons of fake ghee in Koral.
According to details, Islamabad District Food Controller Muhammad Sadiq working on a tip off conducted surprise checking of an alleged fake ghee factory operating in Koral Police precincts and sealed it under the Pure Food Act, 1960.
He also seized 83 cartons of alleged fake ghee along with 17 ghee packets and packing machine and sent samples of ghee to the laboratory. Earlier, when the official arrived at the factory along with media persons, the owner of factory and six other persons got into argument and clashed with the official and media persons and resisted and caused obstruction in the official business, according to a spokesman of ICT Administration on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Koral Police also arrived at the scene immediately under the supervision of Koral PS SHO Inspector Raja Muhammad Tahir and ASI Badir Munir.
Police team arrested six accused including owner of alleged fake ghee factory, Shiekh Tariq, Abdul Hameed, Ehsan ul Haq, Tamoor Hussain and registered a case FIR No 292 under sections 353/186,148/149,382, PPC, 618/A. B. C, Pure Food Act, 1960. Further investigation is underway.
