  • 26 billboard sites auctioned at Rs 78.15 million

Capital Development Authority (CDA) Municipal Administration Directorate auctioned twenty six billboard sites at Rs 78.15 million located in different areas of the capital.

The auction was held on the directions of CDA Chairman Nadeem Hassan Asif and was supervised by a committee comprising of CDA Director Municipal Administration and Audit and Finance officers.

A large number of people and different companies participated in the auction. Security Directorate officers were also present to ensure maximum participation and to eradicate monopoly.

Fifteen bill boards which were auctioned are located along the Express Way, six along the Kashmir Highway and five along the I J Principal Road. Nadeem Hassan Asif appreciated the active participation of the public and said, “CDA has taken effective steps in order to ensure merit and transparency and particularly uninhibited participation of the general public in such auctions.”

Furthermore, he stated that the participation of general public shows that such steps has not only raised the public’s confidence but also enhanced CDA’s credibility.

 

ENCROACHMENT DRIVE: CDA Chairman Nadeem Hassan Asif ordered Enforcement Directorate (ED) to demolish an illegal kiosk situated at Sector G-6 service road.

Earlier, on the directions of the CDA chairman, ED has already started an operation against encroachments and demolished several illegal kiosks, hotels and other illegal structures in different areas of the capital. The teams are conducting operations on daily basis.

Nadeem Hassan Asif said that in order to maintain the city’s natural beauty cooperation of the residents is also required.

 

DAILY WAGES EMPLOYEES’ CONTRACTS EXTENDED: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has further extended contracts of all daily wages employees working in grade 1 to 15.

CDA has also issued notification in this respect. Presently, over 2,000 employees are working on daily wages and muster roll in CDA, sources said.

CDA member administration Munir Chaudhary said that contract period of all daily wages workers from grade 1 to 15 have been extended under the directives of CDA chairman.

Summary seeking extension in service of officers from grade 17 and above has also been sent to the chairman and extension will be granted after his approval.
