Quetta doctor abducted, two miscreants arrested

A doctor was abducted from Quetta and two men who attacked a police official at a picket were arrested from the city on Wednesday.

Per details, cardiologist Dr Munaf Tareen was kidnapped while he was going home from a private hospital at Pishin Stop.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Syed Mubeen Ahmed said the pickets were erected at the city’s exits and entrances after the abduction. Some miscreants opened fire at the vehicle of Superintendent Police Bashir Barohi on Sariab Road, injuring a policeman. Two of the miscreants were also injured in retaliatory firing by the police.

The injured have been shifted to Bolan Medical Complex.

Police have registered cases against the two incidents and started investigations.
