Joint operation in Manghopir, TTP terrorist killed

Personnel from agencies and the Crime Investigation Department (CID) of the Sindh Police launched a joint operation in the metropolis area of Manghopir late Tuesday and a terrorist belonging to Tehrik Taliban Pakistan was killed in the process.

The personnel of law-enforcement agencies met resistance from the terrorists who opened gunfire at the security men. A terrorist, who was wounded in the operation, was arrested following the encounter in Manghopir area of Sultanabad.

A Kalashnikov and two hand grenades were recovered from the arrested saboteur. The terrorist, Hazrat Ali, belonging to the TTP Hakimullah Mehsud group succumbed to his injuries. His body has been shifted to Civil Hospital for medical and legal proceedings.

Speaking to a private channel, CID official, Chaudhry Aslam, said that the action was undertaken after the police was tipped off about a major sabotage activity being planned by the terrorists.
