The District Government has started compiling detailed bio data of vehicle owners who provide pick and drop facilities to schoolchildren, under the directions of Education Department Punjab.
All schools have been asked to provide completed records of drivers as well. A certificate will be obtained from the parents stating that they are fully informed about the driver before allowing their children to use these facilities.
These measures are being taken for the safety of the children.
