Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to recruit a total of 81 new officers on contract basis to overcome human resource shortage for speedy disposal of public matters.

Applications from qualified suitable candidates have been invited by LDA for filling of eight posts of Deputy Director (Town Planning), 17 vacancies of Assistant Director (Town Planning), 25 slots of Assistant Director (General Cadre), 14 vacancies of Civil Engineering, 3 positions each in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering as well 11 posts of Assistant Director (Law).

Last date for submission of applications is October 3. The test will be held on October 20 and only short listed candidates will be called for interview. Services of National Testing Service (NTS) have been hired for ensuring transparency and merit in the recruitment process. Application forms and bank challan are available on the NTS web site (www.nts.org.pk).

Meanwhile, LDA along with representatives of different banks will visit Finance and Trade Centre, Johar Town on September 23. The representatives will be briefed about the location and details of the new bank square to be set up at the centre, spreading over an area of 1,123 kanals.

A briefing session for the representatives from various national and multi-national banks was held on Monday which was attended by a large number of bankers who expressed interest in the establishment of the new bank square.

A total of four plots, measuring 10 to 30 kanals have been created on a chunk of 69 kanals of land at the Finance and Trade Centre. LDA will hold an open auction of the four plots, reserved for setting up head offices as well as regional offices of banks and financial institutions at the new bank square.

 

AUCTION OF SHOPS: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) will auction 54 shops of Liberty Park and Ride Plaza on October 8.

According to an LDA official, open auction of the remaining 54 shops will be held on Tuesday at LDA Community Centre, 239-A, New Muslim Town at 10:00 am. He added that as many as 15 lower ground floor, 19 ground floor and 20 first floor shops, besides restaurants at first floor as well as on roof top will be sold through open auction.

Meanwhile, LDA Director General Ahad Khan Cheema has ordered that LDA Directorate of Land Development-II will deal with the affairs of the newly established LDA City housing scheme. Schemes already being dealt by the Directorate of Land Development-II have been distributed between Directorate of Land Development-III and IV.

Directorate of Land Development-III will deal with Gulberg and New Garden Town housing schemes, where as Directorate of Land Development-IV will be responsible for the affairs of New Muslim Town, Shah Jamal and Upper Mall housing schemes.
