The city received light and medium showers on Monday morning making the weather pleasant and providing relief from the scorching heat.
Rain brought down the temperature to 19 C while the maximum temperature recorded in the afternoon was 32 C.
However, humidity gripped the provincial metropolis in the afternoon and the humidity level remained at 69 percent in the morning and 58 percent in the evening.
Rain was recorded in Shadbagh, Harbanspura, Jallo Mor, Misri Shah, China Scheme, Mughalpura, Garhi Shahu, New Garden Town, Allama Iqbal Town, Gulberg, R.A. Bazar and some parts of Cantonment.
According to the Met Office, more rain and thundershower is expected in some parts of the city during the next 24 hours with partly cloudy weather and chances of rain-thunderstorm.
According to the synoptic report, seasonal low lies over Northwest Balochistan and its adjoining areas. A westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and is likely to move eastward during the next 24 hours.
