Maulana Fazl fears pre-poll rigging in NA-25, DI Khan

The JUI-F chief Mulana Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday said that enemies of the country wanted to sabotage efforts being made for maintaining peace in the country.  Addressing a public gathering during by-election campaign in NA-25 Dera Ismail Khan-cum-Tank, he said that the elements also wanted to engage the army in the FATA region to sabotage peace process.  He said that senior army officers killed in Upper Dir attack was an effort to weaken national institutions and to interrupt negotiation being made with Taliban for maintained law and order in the country.  He said that some internal and external elements were trying to damage national policy of the country.  The JUI-F chief said that US and European world were hatching conspiracies against Pakistani citizens to fight among them in the name of sectarian, religious and languages in the current era.              Earlier the JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman accused the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government of planning to rig upcoming by-election in Dera Ismail Khan. The JUI-F leader phoned acting Chief Election Commissioner Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani and expressed his concerns about the election in NA-25.  He said Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and the chief secretary were present inside the constituency for three days. Under the code of conduct, the chief minister cannot visit the constituency, he argued.   He requested the commission to take notice of violations.
