Conspiracies to destroy the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) are being hatched at the international level but the party is strengthening day-by-day, MQM chief Altaf Hussain claimed on Tuesday.
Addressing a large number of people gathered at the MQM’s headquarter Nine-Zero to celebrate Altaf’s 60th birthday, the party chief directed party workers to prepare themselves for a critical time and keep focus on education and the party’s theory.
The statement by Altaf comes after the Scotland Yard said Dr Imran Farooq was killed due to his plan to launch a new political party, independent of the MQM.
“Many conspiracies are being hatched against me and the MQM in the US and the UK newspapers.”
He said the enemies inside and outside Pakistan wanted to eliminate the MQM but no one could stop their struggle. “I always taught a lesson of peace and love to my workers.”
The MQM chief also demanded the government produce those MQM workers before court who were detained during the ongoing targeted operation in Karachi, adding that the MQM should be informed about the fate of its detained workers.
