The heirs of the young gang rape victim continued their protest outside the Matthi press club on Monday, seeking justice and the arrest of the accused. It should be mentioned that four accused, gang raped the 15-year-old girl, hailing from village Babrrayio in Tharparkar district, at gun-point. The accused also made a video of the inhuman act and took nude photos of the victim to blackmail her. The family and relatives were protesting against the incident but police have only managed to arrest one of the accused individuals while three are still running free. The victim’s family has demanded the authorities to take strict action against the accused. They have also requested that security be provided to the family as the accused are threatening them with dire consequences should the family reveal their misdeed. It should be mentioned that the accused and victim belong to the same family and they have been targeting each others’ girls and women over a family feud.
