Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Ankara on a three-day official visit to Turkey on the invitation of his Turkish counterpart.
He was received at the airport by the Turkish urban planning and construction minister.
Briefly talking to him on the occasion‚ the PM and Turkey enjoy everlasting relations of friendship. He said close cooperation among the two countries would rid them from external pressure.
During his stay‚ the PM will hold meetings with President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyib Erdogan to discuss ways and means to further strengthen bilateral relations in diverse fields.
He along with President Abdullah Gul will co-chair the third session of the Pakistan-Turkey High-Level Cooperation Council. The council is mandated to oversee and steer the unique partnership and intensify cooperation between the two countries.
The two countries are expected to sign several memoranda of understandings and agreements covering areas such as housing‚ education‚ culture and trade.
Nawaz will also address a business forum in Istanbul to be attended by a large number of Turkish investors and entrepreneurs.
