The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) handed over an inadvertent border crosser to the Pakistan Rangers.
BSF Deputy Inspector General RPS Jaswal on Monday said the troops at border out post Kamalpur Jattan falling in Gurdaspur sector had apprehended a Pakistani national Kasim, 12 on Sunday, according to Times of India.
Resident of village Nagaja under police station Baramanga, of Narowal district of Pakistan, Kasim had crossed the international border and entered the Indian territory. He was apprehended when he was approaching towards the border security fence.
Jaswal said during questioning he was found to be innocent and an inadvertent crosser, besides nothing objectionable was found in his possession. On humanitarian grounds the Pakistani boy was handed over to the Rangers after holding a flag meeting with them. During the current year, the BSF had handed over 16 Pakistani inadvertent crossers from the border in Punjab.
