LDA invites banks for briefing on new bank square

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has invited authorised representatives of national and multi-national banks today (Monday, September 16) to brief them on the details of the new bank square which will be set up at Johar Town’s Finance and Trade Centre (FaTC).
Four plots were created on the 69 kanals land in the FaTC. The FaTC was the first ever planned business hub of Punjab and spreads over an area of 1123 kanals near Johar Town’s Expo Centre.
The LDA will soon hold open auctions for these plots which were reserved for setting up the head and regional offices of banks and financial institutions.
A superstore plot measuring 90 kanals and a five star hotel site measuring 118 Kanals, situated in this centre, had already been auctioned by the LDA and construction work on the projects is currently underway.
The LDA has planned this business district as per international standards. It is located close to the Lahore Canal, Motorway, Southern Bypass, Multan Road, Raiwind Road and other major intercity roads for facilitating the easy movement of the business community.
Besides the superstore, the five star hotel and the bank square, plots were also earmarked for the establishment of corporate offices, an IT Tower, a health club (27 kanals), a hospital (25 kanals), a mosque (five kanals), a recreational area (75 kanals), a parking and mini golf club (32 kanals) and a park and lake (42 kanals). About 40 kanals were reserved for multi-storey apartments, another eight kanals for the service area and an additional 388 kanals for roads.
Furthermore, the LDA relaxed building bylaws for encouraging the construction of high rise buildings in the FaTC.
