Sartaj, Khurshid discuss Nawaz and Manmohan’s meeting in NY

Advisor to the prime minister on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz held a meeting with the Indian External Affairs Minister, Salman Khurshid while attending a conference held by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on Friday.

They discussed bilateral issues‚ ways to defuse tension on Line of Control and how to foster dialogue between the two countries. They also discussed the proposed meeting of the prime ministers of two countries in New York later this month.

Sources said that the two top foreign affairs leaders of Pakistan and India exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, especially on the upcoming meeting of the prime ministers of the two countries in New York.

Addressing media, Indian External Minister, Salman Khurshid said that matters under discussion included the Line of Control (LoC) situation and the developments following the Mumbai attack.
