‘Grand Theft Auto V’ official guide leaks early

A full and detailed topographical map for “Grand Theft Auto V” has been leaked after copies of the official guide were delivered one week prior to launch.
The leaked map, posted to Reddit by user GeENiE and attributed to the Bradygames guide, shows huge swathes of wild country outside of Los Angeles parody Los Santos, and illustrates just how close fans at the GTAForums had been with a reconstruction based on screenshots and trailers. Another poster, going by the name of Bmwe92, supplied a photo of a dozen-guide stack, with one copy opened to show some of the “GTA V” vehicles.
The substantial 430 page guide also contains information on the hugely anticipated game’s main story and missions, characters, leisure activities, and collectibles. The developer of the September 17 Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release “Grand Theft Auto V,” Rockstar, has kept information about the game on a tight leash, part of its rationale being that players should be able to experience as much as possible first-hand. Shortly after the game’s soundtrack leaked late in August, the studio asked fans to resist discussing details that had not been provided through officially sanctioned channels. “We are deeply disappointed by leaks and spoilers being spread in advance of the game’s launch,” it said at the time. “GTAV represents years of hard work by many people across the world, and we all couldn’t be more excited to finally share it with you properly this September 17th.” “Please do not proliferate such things here as we certainly don’t want any misinformation spread from things that are fake nor do we want spoilers spread regarding anything that might be true… Thank you all for your understanding and support.”
