Following the routine departmental reshuffling, new Rawalpindi District Election Commissioner (DEC) Nadeem Zubair will assume charge of the office
on Monday.
“The new DEC, who has been transferred from Pakpattan to Rawalpindi, will take over the charge on September 16,” official sources in the District Election Commission said adding that outgoing DEC Zahid Subhani relinquished the charge and reported for duty in Pakpattan in compliance with the transfer order issued by the authorities concerned.
Zahid Subhani, during his stay here, ensured timely preparation of computerized voters lists, issuance of polling scheme and free, fair and transparent conduct of the recent general elections across the district.
