For the three people who haven’t seen a close-up of Miley Cyrus’ rear (probably because they were stuck under rocks), her new music video offers another chance. The 20-year-old singer has released the clip for “Wrecking Ball,” an emotional ballad so raw that Cyrus gets stark naked to get her point across. The video starts off innocently enough, with MTV correctly pegging Cyrus as pulling off a sadder, new era Sinead O’Connor from “Nothing Compares 2U.” But Cyrus’ inspiration quickly shifts from Sinead to strip club: Before long, the star has shed a cropped white tank top and white underwear in favour of nothing at all, and sits atop a gigantic wrecking ball, swinging away in the nude. “Don’t you ever say I just walked away/I will always want you… All I wanted was to break your walls/All you ever did was wreck me,” Cyrus wails as she fondles (and then licks) a sledgehammer. But on the plus side for her critics: Look, no twerking!
