The Capital Development Authority (CDA) would install 10 new filtration plants and tube-wells in different sectors of the federal capital to provide safe drinking water to the residents. These filtration plants would be installed in every sub-sector of Islamabad including G-7, G-8, I-9, I-10, F-6, F-7, and F-8 sectors. Through these new filtration plants, hygienic drinking water would be easily available to the residents of federal capital. When contacted, CDA official informed that the project would cost Rs 20 million and would be completed within six months. As many as 37 filtration plants are already working in Islamabad, he said adding repairing of these filtration plants has also been started.
