The Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) on Tuesday discussed the operational situation at the borders and expressed in unequivocal terms that the territorial integrity of the country would be safeguarded at all costs.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Khalid Shamim Wynne presided over the meeting held here at the Joint Staff Headquarters.
Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Asif Sandila and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt along with senior military officers from the three services attended the meeting.
According to an ISPR press release, the emerging geo-strategic environment, internal security and matters relating to the military’s operational readiness were discussed at length.
The JCSC is a platform to discuss, exchange and evaluate opinions of services chief on the operational preparedness of the armed forces.
Being a quarterly moot of senior military leadership, it focuses on all the issues related to the national security challenges being faced by the country.
