The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Quetta has once again issued production orders for former President Pervez Musharraf in the Nawab Akbar Bugti assassination case.
The court has also issued arrest warrants of former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, former governor Owais Ahmad Ghani and Abdul Samad Lasi, former Dera Bugti DCO.
ATC Judge Tariq Anwar Kansi took up the case for hearing on Tuesday, inquiring from investigation team about progress in the case.
The counsel for Pervez Musharraf requested the court to exempt his client from attendance in the court.
The court, while repeating its first order, again ordered that Musharraf and other accused should be produced before it at all costs.
The court was told by the investigation team that accused Shaukat Aziz and Owais Ahmad Ghani named in this case were living abroad.
The court ordered that they be brought back to Pakistan after fulfilling all legal formalities.
The hearing of the case was adjourned until September 30.
Talking to reporters after the hearing, Sohail Rajput, counsel for Jamil Akbar Bugti, said request made by counsel for Musharraf regarding exemption from attendance of court in respect of his client was a bid to delay proceedings, while the Balochistan High Court had already dismissed applications in this regard.
