Rawalpindi Police on Sunday raided three brothels and arrested 16 accused including seven males and nine females found involved in immoral activities.
According to details, Race Course police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid in Peoples Colony and netted Zaitoon Bibi, Shehnaz, Waseem and Saeed.
Meanwhile, Cantt police raided Metro Chowk area and rounded up Kashif, Iram, Muqaddas, and Rida.
In an operation conducted in Faizabad area by Sadiqabad police, Haseeb Ali, Talab Hussain, Asad, Tahseen, Robi, Sabah, Mahwish and Kalsoom were arrested for their alleged involvement in illegal activities.
DRUGPUSHERS, BOOTLEGGERS APPREHENDED: Rawalpindi police in its drive against anti-social elements have arrested 46 outlaws and seized 11,070 grams of charras, 200 grams of heroin, 456 bottles of liquor, 100 liters of liquor, four pistols 30 bore with nine rounds, one revolver 32 bore, one rifle 7mm with six rounds and one rifle 12 bore with two rounds.
Waris Khan police held Aziz and recovered 1,020 grams of charras from him. Arshad was booked after 1,120 grams of charras was recovered from his possession. Taxila police apprehended Mussarat and Imran after1,400 grams and 1,285 grams of charras was recovered from them respectively.
Similarly, Morgah police nabbed Nazir with 1,010 grams of charras. Sher Khan was arrested on recovery of 1,020 grams of charras. Naseerabad police arrested Qamar and recovered 200 grams of heroin from him.
Saddar Baroni police caught Asif for carrying 200 bottles of liquor. Sadiqabad police netted Sajid on recovery of 120 liquor bottles. Gujjar Khan police conducted a raid and recovered 50 liquor bottles from the custody of Suleman.
Pirwadhai police rounded up Musafar Khan and Jameel on recovery of 40 liters of liquor while Ghulam Adeel was apprehended after 30 liters of liquor was recovered from his possession. Moreover, Waris Khan police arrested Shehzad with 20 liters of liquor.
Aqeel, Nobahar, Amir, Israr, Mazhar, Ikhlaq and Qasir were held on recovery of illegal weapons while others were rounded on recovery of drugs and liquor.
GAMBLERS ARRESTED: Rawalpindi police on the special directives of City Police Officer (CPO) conducted raids and arrested 11 gamblers, while cash stake money amounting Rs 59,720 and 10 mobile phones were also recovered from them.
According to Rawalpindi Police spokesman, Saddar Wah police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid in Sadat Colony and caught seven gamblers namely Sajid, Saddique, Shahid, Khalid, Mazhar, Safdar and Wajid for their alleged involvement in betting while playing cards.
Police recovered cash stake money amounting Rs 39,520 including six mobile phones from their custody.
In another raid conducted by Pirwadhai police in Ghali Loharan, Riasat and Asim were held for being involved in lucky draw system (parchi bazi system). Police recovered Rs 5,200, one mobile phone and other gadgets from their possession.
Sadiqabad police conducted a raid in Shakrial area and arrested Zareen and Umar who were also involved in lucky draw system. Police recovered Rs 15,000, three mobile phones and other items from them.
