The Nawaz Sharif-led government has decided not to replace Sindh Governor Ishratul Ebad for the time being, reported a private news channel quoting the PML-N sources.
The decision has been taken in the light of the ongoing operation in Karachi and the relations between the PML-N and MQM.
The government thinks change of the Sindh governor at this stage could affect the operation adversely and also damage the reconciliation process with the MQM.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had earlier hinted at changing the Sindh governor and name of Mumtaz Bhutto was being tipped for the slot.
Meanwhile, MQM sources said the governor was a representative of the federation and was best performing his role.
