More officers and personnel have been deployed at pickets to improve security situation and for strict surveillance and monitoring to curb criminal activities.
While addressing a ceremony held at National Library SSP Islamabad Muhammad Rizwan said that protection of the capital is the responsibility of these appointed officers. “If you perform your duties with zeal and vigour the city will be under protective hands,” he added.
SP Saddar Jamil Ahmed Hashmi, SP Industrial Farrukh Rashid, SP Rural Shabih Hussain, ASP Rana Abdul Aziz, ASP Sumera Azam, Incharge Security Altaf Aziz Khatak, Secretariat SHO Police Station Qaisar Gilani, Inspector Car Cell Muhammad Nawaz Bhatti and other officers were also present on the occasion.
SSP Rizwan said that terrorists would never succeed in their nefarious designs if police personnel were vigilant. He said that aim of the security cordons is to stop terrorism and protecting the life and property of the people.
He said that the new officers have been appointed for a period of three months and those who would show good performance would be given incentives.
