Imran defends demand to meet PM, COAS before APC

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday defended his demand to meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kiyani prior to the All Parties Conference (APC), saying he wanted to have a conversation on matters which could not be discussed publicly.

During a private television channel program, Khan said previously the governments had gone against the decisions made during the APCs, adding that it remained to be seen if the incumbent government implemented the decisions that would be taken during the conference.

The prime minister is hosting political parties’ leaders on Monday to reach a consensus on the terrorism issue.
