Lahore City Cricket Association Former President Khawaja Nadeem Ahmad has said that the meeting of the body will be convened after fulfilling all the legal requirements and the decision of the court on the restoration of LCCA. “To put the record straight we will be following the directions of the court as we sought justice from the court after Pakistan Cricket Board put the LCCA under an interim committee,” he said here on Saturday. He said their utmost demand is that the PCB announces the schedule of the elections of LCCA the way it did to fix the dates of elections in Karachi. The court in its earlier decision stated that the election process is almost complete in Lahore and the polling is likely to be held in the month of June last. The exact dates will be fixed by the PCB election commission under chapter XXV of the PCB constitution. He said the interim committee was directed by the court to look after routine day to day matters of the LCCA till the elected office bearers take charge of the association. “We are not in hurry to take over the LCCA, we will be fully obeying the directions of the court and if justice was not done by the PCB we will be moving to the court for getting direction for our elections and holding of our meeting after fulfilling all the legal procedure,” he added.
