The security agencies on Saturday arrested five terrorists including three women suspected of carrying out terrorist activities in the federal capital.
Security agencies recovered heavy amounts of explosives and remote controlled fibre planes from the basement of a house in Gulshan-e-Kashmir area.
According to sources, police carried out a search operation in the house located in Gulshan-e-Kashmir in Sector G-15 early morning and recovered detonators, Kalashnikovs, pistols, hand grenades and a wireless set from the house.
Remote controlled spy instruments and planes including toys filled with explosives were also recovered from the house likely to be used for terrorist activities. Bomb disposal squad diffused the explosive material.
A case has been registered against the accused at Tarnol Police Station and further investigation is underway.
