Asfandyar Wali Khan has rejected the government’s invitation to attend the All Parties Conference (APC) on terrorism scheduled to be held on September 9.
According to Awami National Party (ANP) sources, Asfandyar told Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to contact ANP Acting President Senator Haji Mohammad Adeel and invite him to represent the ANP in the APC.
Later, the federal government approached Adeel and extended him the invitation.
ANP leaders have confirmed that Asfandyar said he could not attend the APC as he had quit the party office. The party’s acting president and other senior leaders will attend the APC.
