Regarding Gulberg Town’s anti-dengue environment inspectors’ performance, Lahore Commissioner Imdad Ullah Bosal said that it was unsatisfactory and that they must visit all the probable dengue-sites with surveillance teams.
He directed them to monitor the sites on a daily basis. He said that fogging in a large area could only be carried out with the permission of technical experts but the mechanical procedure to kill the larva sites should be preferred. Bosal was briefed that according to the health dashboard, two dengue-positive patients from Gulberg town had appeared and that FIR’s had been lodged against 15 owners.
Bosal chaired a meeting regarding the anti-dengue review in Gulberg town. MPA Khawaja Salman Rafique, MPA Mian Mohsin Latif, MPA Dr Farzana Nazir, Dr Waseem, Model Town AC Shakeel Bhatti, Saeed Riaz, Arshad Ahmed Khan and officers of different departments concerned also attended the meeting.
