Naseerabad residents water thirsty

Residents of Naseerabad Cantonment Board, Rawalpindi have been deprived of water supply despite pipelines were laid eight years ago.
The residents said that those who can afford have installed water pumps while other residents are forced to buy water tankers. They said that pipelines were laid in the area around eight years ago but no water is being supplied through them.
The residents demanded the high-ups of the Cantt Board and elected area representatives to ensure water supply to the area through the pipelines.
When the Cantt Board was contacted, an official said that the board was supplying water to the majority of population of Naseerabad. “Water is not being supplied to those who have Islamabad registries,” he informed.
