NA speaker, Qatar prince for stronger economic ties

National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has asked the foreign investors to take benefit of massive unexploited economic potential in Pakistan.

Talking to Qatar Prince Sheikh Faisal bin Nasir bin Hamad al-Thani in Islamabad on Thursday he said the government has created conducive environment for foreign investment.

The speaker said that present government has created conducive environment for foreign investment by introducing various incentives and reforms in the economic sector. He said that energy generation, oil exploration, trade and manufacturing sectors have huge scope therefore; foreign investors should invest in these sectors. He said that Pakistan greatly values its relations with Qatar and the investments by its government and its private sector. He appreciated the keenness of Prince Sheikh Faisal bin Nasir bin Hamad al-Thani for his investment plans in Pakistan.

Prince Sheikh Faisal bin Nasir bin Hamad al-Thani said that he considered Pakistan as his second home as he has been visiting Pakistan since his childhood. He said that Qatar also attaches immense importance to its relations with Pakistan and wants to further strengthening them through economic and parliamentary ties. He said that he had planned to bring substantial investment in energy and oil exploration sectors. He was confident that foreign investment in energy sectors could steer Pakistan out of the present energy crises.
